Edinburgh's Christmas Markets
For the past 20 years in the heart of Edinburgh, the popular Christmas Market has been held in its picturesque setting below the Mound. The Christmas Market will, for a second year this year, stretch from the Mound, along East Princes Street Gardens Terrace and around the Scott Monument.
The Scottish Market
Our Scottish Market in St Andrew Square is a winter showcase of some of the best craft, food and drink that Scotland has to offer. The treats available will include locally produced sausages, fresh seafood, unique chocolate, delightful cupcakes, gin, Scottish brewed craft beer, Scottish crafted jewellery and woodwork, the best Scottish accessories on offer and much, much more.
Fair rides include The Edinburgh Wheel, The Snow Globe and The Flying Carousel.
Morgan & West - A (sort of) Christmas Carol Magic Show!
1 Dec - 7 Jan 2017
The world’s most distinguished duo of Time Travelling Magicians Morgan & West present Charles Dickens’ timeless classic A Christmas Carol for ages 5+. The only problem is, they're baffled by the story. Well not just one problem, there are also only two of them to play all the parts. Oh, and Mr West is rather insistent on doing a magic show at the same time. How hard could it possibly be? There’s fun in store for everyone in this utterly splendid (and totally silly) Christmas magic show!
At nearly 60 metres high, the Star Flyer is truly awesome. Take your seat and view Edinburgh like you've never seen it before. With 360 views over the rooftops!
Edinburgh Ice Rink
Edinburgh’s Ice Rink is one of Europe’s largest outside Christmas Ice Rinks. Don your skates and take a turn around the glittering ice rink on East Princes Street Gardens Terrace, beneath the Big Wheel.
Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas without a visit to Santa.
After a good break the man himself is back to welcome you to his new look grotto. Children will enjoy a bespoke Christmas Story in this 'audience with' style grotto, and each child will also have the opportunity to meet the man himself and receive a wee gift!
