The Edinburgh Dungeon
That’s right Halloween is our FAVOURITE time of year and as such we will bring you the biggest and boldest Halloween full of scary fun, edge of seat tricks and treats, gripping storytelling and of course, pumpkins. We've created a BRAND NEW show just for the season - Burke is BACK! Yes, our favourite murderous criminal has a Halloween Residency right here at The Dungeon. Join us in the Anatomy Theatre of Dr Knox and learn what happened on Halloween night in 1828, as Burke and Hare mercilesly murdered their final victim, poor Madgy Docherty... But look out, they'd kill for a body like yours.
Few people know that Burke and Hare committed their last crime on Halloween. Had it not been for Madgy Docherty who knows when their murderous spree would have ended…
Now Burke is BACK and danger lurks at every turn in the Home of Halloween. More tricks…and if you’re lucky, we might throw in the odd treat!
We WILL sell out, so make sure you book your tickets in advance to avoid horrible disappointment! (You have been warned... and we reserve the right to say We Told You So)
Along your journey you’ll also meet the fiendish Sawney Bean and his cannibal family. Get up close and personal with Burke and Hare, William Wallace and a whole host of historical villains and rogues who will guide you through 1,000 years of Scotland’s murky past with some special Halloween tricks and treats along the way including 2 thrilling rides!
As we are THE Home of Halloween this is our most popular season and we will be busy. The only way to guarantee your admission is to book online. The good news is that we'll give you access to the priority queueline, which comes with a free feeling of smugness. thedungeons.com
